Zinc oxide soothes and protects the skin from irritation and abrasions. Zinc oxide has some antiseptic properties and assists in skin repair.

Salicylic acid aids in the exfoliation of dead skin cells, as well as acting as an ant-inflammatory ingredient.

Sweet Almond Oil is rich in essential fatty acids, especially oleic and linoleic acids. Sweet Almond oil assists in re-establishing correct acid pH, restoring barrier function as well as providing a non-irritating emollient effect.

Jojoba oil has emollient, lubricating, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. It forms a non-greasy, non-sticky layer that reduces moisture loss through skin surface.

Rosemary oil contains potent antioxidants known as flavonoids. The flavonoids caffeic and rosmarinic acid in Rosemary oil reduce inflammation and promote skin repair.

Traditionally Geranium oil has been used to treat wounds, abscesses and a wide range of skin conditions such as ringworm, ulcers and rashes. Geranium can assist in the delivery of other active compounds into the skin and is anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and regenerative for skin conditions.

Several pharmacological actions have been documented for German chamomile; such actions include antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, anti-ulcer, antiviral, and sedative effects. The high alpha-bisabolol content in chamomile oil is credited for providing the majority of soothing and anti-inflammatory activity.

Myrrh extract has been shown to have an astringent, disinfecting, and antiseptic action. As an astringent—it shrinks and tightens the top layers of skin membranes, thereby reducing secretions, relieving irritation, and improving tissue firmness.

Neroli is known to be an antidepressant, anxiolytic, and antibacterial agent. Neroli is also reported to help promote skin renewal and in addition its smell is helpful in easing stress and also particularly useful for cases of mild depression.
